Hello all I hope everyone had a great long weekend. A couple of days ago I was watching something on yahoo and they were talking about some of the worst things you can do to you skin. I thought this was so interesting and since I will be launching my skincare line soon I said to myself this is perfect to talk about. We all have committed some of these face crime and I wanted to blog about some of the worst things we do to our face. So let see how many crimes you have committed against your skin. First thing is using deodorant soap on your face. This may not seem as like a big deal but using harass soap like body wash or deodorant soap on your face can disrupt your skin's delicate lipid barrier. As a result of using these type of soaps it will lead to dry irritated skin. Or one or the other. Second is not washing your face in the morning. Even if you wash your face at night your skin renews itself at night, and it is also releasing toxins that needs to be cleansed off. Third is not washing your face at night. Now I know that by the end of the day all you want to do is jump in the bed but this ladies is a mistake. You have been out all day and if you wear makeup you need to wash away the day. There are all types of pollution in the air and all this will stick to your face. So you want to make sure you wash your face at night and get rid of the day. Fourth is over washing your face. You may feel nice and clean after using a super abrasive soap or maybe a cloth but you can cause redness to your skin. Also this can dry you skin out and that is not something you want. Fifth is using the wrong cleanser for your skin type. Make sure you know your skin type because using a cleanser that has moister in it and you have oily skin is not going to do you any good. There are ways to test to see what your skin type is. Wash your face and do not put any type of cream on you skin for about a half an hour. If your skin feel really tight than you have dry skin. If your skin feels oily than you guessed it you have oily skin. Last but not least if your t zone is the only thing that is dry or oily than you have combination skin. So ladies I hope this helped you realized if you were committing any crimes against your skin. TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN! UNTIL NEXT TIME !

Hello everyone and good day. I am today because this Fall I will be launching my organic skincare line name Bella Organic Skincare. I have always believe in taking care of your skin first. As a makeup artist I always spoke to all my clients about making sure that they keep their skin clean and moisturized. This is very important and it's not just your face you should take care of your entire body, remember this is part of skin care as well. As the years past and my research grew I understood how many ingredients are very dangerous for you skin. However, today I will be talking to you about the good ingredients for your skin. Now there are a some ingredients that you may just have laying around your home that is great for your skin. The first one I want to talk about is Aloe Vera now we all know that this has great benefits for our body. So much so that they have Aloe Vera drinks out there for you. This ingredient is great for people with sensitive or dry skin. If your skin is easily irritated this will help clam the skin. So even if you do not have sensitive skin look for Aloe Vera in your skincare products it always a plus. Chamomile is the next ingredient I would like to talk about now we all know that chamomile has soothing effect but products that have it can help hydrate your skin. Moving on to the next ingredient I want to talk about Green Clay. This is great for an oily skin type Green Clay can balance out the natural oils in your skin. You will often see this in facial mask to help remove impurities from the skin. Since we love green so much LoL the second green ingredient is Green Tea, again we all now know the great benefits of green tea for our inside and if it help our insides than it will do wonders for our skin. Green Tea is a great antioxidant that helps fight free radicals. Now let move on to Jojoba oil this is now in everything and that's because studies show that this oil helps restores your natural Ph balance in your skin. As well as moisturizing and making it softer. Last but not least Oatmeal we can use this to gently cleanse our face as well as exfoliate our face and entire body. It also has the benefits of lighten you dark spots and evening skin tone. So these are some of the ingredients that are very good for the skin. I try to get a count for my launch up on my blog as soon as possible so that you can see when the event will take place. Thank you for reading. TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN! UNTIL NEXT TIME!

Back to school just not the school I expected!

OK sorry it has been a while since I posted anything but I am back. So my last post was about me getting my esthetician license. Now I still want that license however I knew that I was going to continue with my degree in Business Management. I already have college credit so it just made more sense to finish with my degree. The great thing about this is that everything is online. I love being a makeup artist it one of the things that make me really happy. Beside my family and friends of course. However, I want to get more into the business side of thing. Combining both of my passion is going to be awesome. There are not to many people that can do what they love. I feel like I am coming to that place in my life where my two passion are coming together. I am now attending the University of Phoenix and loving every second of it. Well that was just a little updated on me and what been going on. It is the fall season and new makeup is upon us I will have to go and see what new and hot things are out ,then give you guys an update. It about time I got out there and see what really going on. Until next time!

Atelier Esthetique

Hello everyone! I been away for awhile but I am back. I have always talk about skin care with my clients and on my blog. In order to have beautiful makeup your skin must be flawless and in order to do this you must take care of your skin. Using makeup to hide imperfection is one of the worst things you can do. So since I love makeup and skin care so much I decided to take my education to the next level. So I have in enrolled in school to become an Estheticians. SInce I am a mom for the second time around I will be going part-time. Atelier Esthetique is the name of this school in NYC. I choose the school because of the flexibility with their schedule. Like I said I am a mom again and that important to me. They have financial aid and I feel this is also very important in these difficult times. Last but not least the school itself, there equipment make you feel as though you are in a spa like setting. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I am very excited for this chapter in my life. I start next month and will keep you up to date on my adventures of becoming an Estheticians. This will help me with my business ventures that I have planned in the future. So come along with with me on my new journey.

How to Make Your Own Face Sugar Scrub!

Hello ladies and gentlemen I know it been away for a while but I am back. I know that we are in some hard economic times and this is the perfect time to save some money. I personally love skin care, I feel that it's one of the most important part of external beauty. Beside my cleanser I love face scrubs. So I said why not show you guys how to make a sugar scrub for your face to save you some money. So to start with your simple scrub you will need these following ingredients: Sugar ,olive oil and almond oil or extract. You can use what ever fragrance extract you like. Some people are allergic to nuts so don't use almond oil if you have this allergy. You can change this to fit your skin type, however this work on all skin types. Yes, even if you have oily skin. Always remember that oil eats oil. So here is the recipe for the scrub.

I hope you like the way this scrub makes your skin feel, I absolutely love it and believe you will too. Please let me know what you think!

This one is for the Fellas!

Ladies and Gentlemen this is a blog that I have been wanting to do for a while and I am just getting around to it today. The reason I am doing this piece is because I want men to know what women really look for. No fellas we do not want a pretty boy well not most of us. We want a well groom man, a man that take care of his appearance. You don't have to take over the mirror and leave us with only 5 minutes to get ready. With that guys one thing I do not like to see is long ,dirty finger nails. You must cut and file your nails , when women see dirty finger nails it's a turn off. Hair is very important as well, moisturize your hair. Also try to get a barber you really like and stick with him. You should not go from barber to barber you can mess your hair line up that way. One thing that I see a lot of is guys washing there faces with bar soap or no soap at all. Fellas this is a no, no please go out and buy a face cleanser. I brought my hubby a KIhle's started kit for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. It came with a face cleanser, moisturizer, bar of soap for the body and shaving cream. Needless to say he has been using it ever since. A well dress man is always sexy, with that said I say to all my fellas out there dress age appropriate. You should not be like 50 with a du-rag NO or 35 wearing skinny jeans!(EVEN THOU I FEEL NO MALES SHOULD WEAR THIS LOOK) I am not saying that you can't be stylish just make it look good for your age. Showers are a must and NEVER overdo colonge you just end up stinking. If you love yourself some colonge three sprays the most. I recommend NO colonge a shower in some great smelling soap will do just fine. Last but not least your shoe game, just like men loves a female with a mean shoe games so do women. We can appreciate a men that appreciate good shoes. Do not get me wrong this does not have to be hard bottoms. This can be some stylish sneakers, or boots. My advice is make sure you always look fresh you don't have to wear all name brand clothes. That can look tacky when you are all name brand down. You can look very good as long as your have a fresh cut, clean nice clothes and some good foot wear. So to all my guys out there I hope this advice help you out somewhat. If you need some more you can always ask.
