This one is for the Fellas!

Ladies and Gentlemen this is a blog that I have been wanting to do for a while and I am just getting around to it today. The reason I am doing this piece is because I want men to know what women really look for. No fellas we do not want a pretty boy well not most of us. We want a well groom man, a man that take care of his appearance. You don't have to take over the mirror and leave us with only 5 minutes to get ready. With that guys one thing I do not like to see is long ,dirty finger nails. You must cut and file your nails , when women see dirty finger nails it's a turn off. Hair is very important as well, moisturize your hair. Also try to get a barber you really like and stick with him. You should not go from barber to barber you can mess your hair line up that way. One thing that I see a lot of is guys washing there faces with bar soap or no soap at all. Fellas this is a no, no please go out and buy a face cleanser. I brought my hubby a KIhle's started kit for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. It came with a face cleanser, moisturizer, bar of soap for the body and shaving cream. Needless to say he has been using it ever since. A well dress man is always sexy, with that said I say to all my fellas out there dress age appropriate. You should not be like 50 with a du-rag NO or 35 wearing skinny jeans!(EVEN THOU I FEEL NO MALES SHOULD WEAR THIS LOOK) I am not saying that you can't be stylish just make it look good for your age. Showers are a must and NEVER overdo colonge you just end up stinking. If you love yourself some colonge three sprays the most. I recommend NO colonge a shower in some great smelling soap will do just fine. Last but not least your shoe game, just like men loves a female with a mean shoe games so do women. We can appreciate a men that appreciate good shoes. Do not get me wrong this does not have to be hard bottoms. This can be some stylish sneakers, or boots. My advice is make sure you always look fresh you don't have to wear all name brand clothes. That can look tacky when you are all name brand down. You can look very good as long as your have a fresh cut, clean nice clothes and some good foot wear. So to all my guys out there I hope this advice help you out somewhat. Vote Today Bobbi Brown or Laura Mercier?

So I love Laura Mercier not just because I worked for the company for 3 years. She has great products that I just love. I'v worked for other company's and like her stuff the best. know just like you have your die hard Laura fans your have your die hard Bobbi Brown fans. Working in department store you get to try just about all the makeup brands you can think of. Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown are two companies that people always compare. I must say so myself they are similar brands and at the end of the day it's what you prefer. The cost is roughly the same and so are the colors. Expect I think laura has more of an array of colors but that my opinion. I do like Bobbi's lip tints and there beach bar, it smells so good! The one thing that I can say about Bobbi that Laura need to take a good look at is their array of color foundations. For colored women I must say that Bobbi has Laura beat. Laura however, is trying to get more darker foundation and concealer but she still need to do better with that aspect of things. So on that note I would like you to tell me what do you think by voting. Who do you prefer Laura Mercier or Bobbi Brown? You have until the 26th of this month to vote so please do!

Hair Care Products

Ok so my hairdresser is out of town and I needed to get my hair done. Know I promise myself that I would not let anyone else touch my hair expect for her. I have keep this promise, am I a hairdresser HELL NO. However, I do my best to look good. So I decided to go out and buy some hair products that I have been eyeing. I love products that contain Olive Oil we all know the benefits that Olive Oil can give us. So I went and purchased Olive Oil shampoo and deep conditioner. Along with hot oil treatment that was desperately needed. So I shampoo my hair and put regular conditioner in my hair. I did not use my deep conditioner because I did not want to weight my hair down. I did use the hot oil treatment because it was need for my ends badly. After I wash and conditioner my hair I used the hot oil treatment. I put a cap on and sat under the dryer for about 5 minutes. Once that was over I rinsed the hot oil treatment out and roller set my hair. I was under the dryer for an hour. However, instead of taking the roller out and blow drying my hair I left the roller in for the night. So the next morning I blew my hair out and flat ironed it. Beautiful Legends! International Women's Day

Hello ladies today I felt compelled to pay homeage to some great and beautiful women of our day. Since today is International Women's day why not talk about some beauty's that came before us. As a child I always loved watching these lady, seeing how beautiful, glamorous and graceful they were. Their makeup was always flawless,hair perfect,nails did,and clothing fit for the stars. They were ahead of their time. These ladies paved the way for us and had a hard road to travel. I could not image what they must have endured. Being a famous African-American star, they love me on film or on stage. However, I can not use your restroom or eat at the same restaurant as white. We have made a lot of progress since these times yet we still have a long way to go. So on International Women's Day many thanks to all those strong women that came before us. MUCH LOVE AND RESPECT!

Random Advice!

I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. Mine was fine we have been together so long it's just another day with the kids. Since I had my second son I have not been able to do as many face as I use to. Kids can put a hold on your life but it's only temporary. Anyway, I was doing someone face and realize that I had been mistreating my brushes. Now anyone who knows me knows that my brushes are important to me they are my tools. So I looked for all of them and cleaned them very well with my brush cleaner. I use Sephora brush cleaner it's very good and I only paid $14 bucks for it. You can get the spray or the shampoo, personally I have the shampoo. So ladies use brush cleaner for your brushes you will have them longer. So I love a great french manicure but I hate how fast I have to go back and get them re-done. So a couple of months ago while at my job I saw a customer with the most beautiful french manicure I had ever seen. I had to ask her where she got them done. So she proceeded to tell me and said she needed them to be done again. So I was confused because it looked like she just got them done. So I said just that to her, "It look like you just got them done". She replies no they are a permanent french, Now I may be very late but this was the first time I heard of this. I have been doing my nails for years so I was very surprise when I heard this. So I finally decided to get them done and this has been the best money spent. I always said french manicure was sexy and classy. Now I can have them for a longer time with out worrying about them chipping. However, there is a difference between pink & white and white tip manicure. I personally like the white tip french it look more natural. You can check my nails out below. Ladies I am a BIG believer in samples LOL. Never go into a department store without getting a few samples, especially if it for skin care. Do not just buy the product take about two or three samples packets in order to see if your skin will react to it. A good salesperson will contact you in a couple of days to see if everything workout for you. You can get samples on mascara,perfumes,skin care and body products. If they tell you they did not have anymore have them make it for you. They always have samples tubes trust me.... Speaking about mascara a lady always needs a good or great mascara. Now when you are going in to purchase a mascara you want to make sure you know what you are looking for in the mascara. Do you want something to make your lashes look long, have more volume or both. Go in there knowing what you are looking for or you will come out with something that you did not need. Also a great mascara wand make all the difference the formula can be great but if that wand is no good it loses all effectiveness. So this is my random advice for today.
